Our Story
FROM Dinner Parties to Dining Experiences
Pomelo Dining began with two friends who met while living in Barcelona, a vibrant city that deepened their love for food. They shared a passion for hosting dinner parties and exploring the best ingredients and flavors.
Rosalie, an experienced chef, is known for crafting extraordinary flavor combinations and has deep knowledge of wine and champagne pairing. She focuses on seasonal, nutritious ingredients and believes in the healing power of food to nourish both body and mind.
Tjarda trained at Ballymaloe Cookery School in Ireland, learning not only to cook but also food styling, fermentation, and baking. She refined her pastry skills at Deguelle in Amsterdam and brings creativity and hands-on expertise to menu creation and plating.
Together, Rosalie and Tjarda blend culinary skill, creativity, and passion to build Pomelo Dining into a business grounded in authenticity, seasonality, and exceptional taste.

Our core service area is Amsterdam and the broader North Holland region. Weβve built strong relationships with local suppliers and venues here, allowing us to provide the best catering and private dining experiences in this area. However, weβre excited to expand and are now offering services nationwide and internationally.
For clients located outside of our core area, we are happy to accommodate them with an additional fee based on the distance from our base in Amsterdam. This helps cover the extra costs of transportation, delivery, and setup for longer-distance events. We always ensure that you are aware of these fees upfront.

Our standard pricing includes only the food and service upon location, giving you the flexibility to tailor your event based on your own needs and preferences. However, we also offer a full range of event equipment including tables, chairs, glassware, cutlery, serving platters, linens, available for an additional fee.
You are welcome to use your own equipment or work with a third-party rental company. If youβd like us to take care of everything, weβre happy to incorporate the cost of any additional equipment or setup into your final quote, so you have one clear, transparent price.

Cancellations made at least 2 weeks before the event date are free of charge. Any changes to the booking should be communicated at least 1 week in advance. For cancellations or major changes made after the cancellation period, charges may apply to cover costs already incurred, such as ingredients, staff scheduling, or preparation. Our goal is to handle all requests fairly and transparently, and any applicable fees will be clearly communicated in cases of late changes or cancellations.
